Don't lose hope yet. What happened to your 1750 bellhousing? Pretty sure it will bolt right up to a 2L. There has been lots of talk about matching starters to flywheels on the BB. A search should answer your questions about starters & tooth count. Seems to me the flywheels changed in '75.

I put a 1750 in the Super, used the 1600 clutch set up and a later box. So anything can be done with some tinkering. I must admit, I'm a 1750 fan as well but 2L's aren't a bad choice.

Your driveline will bolt up just fine, all 105/115 from '56 to '94 take the same Giubo.
