My car is a series 2 1750 and only has the 2 upper radiator air slots/holes and it most definitely has never had a new nose panel (until my repairs). Thus I believe your car has had at some stage (maybe only a partial?) and ofcourse is about to get another . I believe no front panel would have ever been made without the later indicator holes AND 4 radiator air slots/holes.
I would be interested to hear/read what papajim says about this.
Here is the front of my car (a while ago):

ps: and nice work BTW.

Hello PsK,
I had exact same concern regarding the 4 radiator air slots after viewing some illustrations of the series 1, but historically my series 1 has not had a front panel nose job replaced before and the original panel which I have removed as illustrated in the photos shows the 4 slots?!
From the inside photograph of the original you can see the the bottom half of the valance has had some work (badly done), but definitely 4 slots as the original panel suggests....
I also had this conversation with Giles from Classic Alfa in the UK, whom I purchased this reproduction panel from and to make it correct I had to blank out the indicator cavities.
They reproduce this panel configuration complete with 4 slots and the indicator cavities...
Maybe there where some European series 1 configurations that made it to Australia with 4 slots??
Cheers
