Hmmm, something is not quite right about the front of your car .

You have blanked out the series 2 1750 or 2000 indicator holes and yet you have 4 air entry holes for radiator air. This only came out (I believe) for later series 2 1750's, thus as you are restoring yours (correctly) as a series 1, you should blank out the lower 2 air entry slots/holes on your new panel.

My car is a series 2 1750 and only has the 2 upper radiator air slots/holes and it most definitely has never had a new nose panel (until my repairs). Thus I believe your car has had at some stage (maybe only a partial?) and ofcourse is about to get another . I believe no front panel would have ever been made without the later indicator holes AND 4 radiator air slots/holes.

I would be interested to hear/read what papajim says about this.
