think this will work..assuming yr symptoms are exactly the same.
I didnt try this during my trouble shooting as didnt have the right fitting either...I do suggest do this a little thoughtfully. I suspect in cold conditions there might be some fuel spitting through. But I bet if yr prob is exactly same as mine replacing the canister from a breaker car will fix it..good luck and pls keep us informed on yr progress.
