That steering wheel you mentioned is the same as my original one, which I have now changed in favour of the "personal" type wheel from a spider just like yours (call it inspiration having seen the one you have). I think it is some kind of faux wood but have not a clue what its made from.

Was there ever any Black Berlinas built and if so does anyone have a good picture of one? i know black is an absolute nightmare to keep looking good especially on a car with such large flat areas as a Berlina, but if kept nice could look pretty cool.
