Thanks for the pointers regarding mounting! The mounting info that came with the DL1 also suggested to only "turn on" (power up) the DL1 after the car has started since the starter apparently can cause enough electrical noise to corrupt existing data on the logger. To be safe I was going to wire in a power on-off switch reachable from the drivers seat (next to the remote start/stop logging switch). I suppose the false triggers related to the remote start/stop switch are caused by noise (electrical) being picked up by the wires between the DL1 and the remote switch. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll try route it with that in mind, with the option to disconnect it.
