I'd say there was something special about that car too
Quote:
I would buy a MSD red Blaster coil for the car. I had a helluva time with my '83 where it would fall on it's face at around 7,500 rpm with the Bosch blue coil. Bought the MSD coil and it pulled to 9 grand without an issue
Except that,

at 8,900 rpm at an auto X ant exploded the front bell housing, driveshaft and transaxle. It bent two shift shafts at that time also
Doesn't really sound like pulling to 9 grand without an issue to me. I dunno Paul, your story sounds pretty far fetched - maybe that's why I paid it no heed at first, but since ya'll have hijacked this thread with this business, I thought I'd drop a couple of pages of the Shop manual for those who might be thinking of going MSD. Personally, I wouldn't waste my time and money on it. Unless I indeed, had an engine that would do 7k+ rpm. ('course, then I would go aftermarket integrated injection-n-ignition w/coil paks.)

Also, I added the MSD products page, and a good one from AutoSpeed (Crane cams).
