I hate the fact that the governing body has decided to do this. Formula one used to be the pinnacle of what it was possible to achieve with technology... now it's just becoming yet another limited over governed formula series.
Every time this sort of ridiculous over-governing happens in motorsport, the series looses the essence of what made it great in the first place. Witness what happened in touring cars, group B etc.
I used to avidly watch F1, even getting up at ungodly hours to watch the Australian and Japanese races, but for a few seasons before last, I just couldn't be bothered. Only the Lewis / Massa / Alonso / Räikkönen fight made it worth watching last season.
The more they dumb it down for the average joe and to 'encourage overtaking' the less it's really F1.
