My new GTV6 has about the tightest fit of any V6 car I've seen. I had a thinwall plug socket that worked on the original 2.5L motor in my old car, the 3.0L I put in it, and the 3L in my Verde. But it wouldn't fit in this car, even with the valve covers lined up. I was getting ready to grind one down and someone said the Craftsman socket will fit. I thought, heck why not?

Perfect fit, with a tiny bit of play. I'd start there.
