It's all about practicality, the hot rod set up is nowhere as complex as a Milano from many prospectives. A DC motor a custom designed rack, power supply, contol unit and computer to adjust steering inputs and feedback. Think about how much R&D Honda put into their rack on the S2000. I never said the idea was ludicrous just impracticle and costly. By the time it was all over I could have a small fleet of GTV6's and Milano's with new ZF power steering racks.
