remove the spring

Hello Robert and Frank,

That's a good tip Frank! Removing the spring. It removes part of the strain on the cogs and on the axle that causes the wear and tear. But don't forget that leaning against the seat will cause the same wear and tear. We have put in a new bronze bush to take out the the slack. It helps but isn't the permanent solution (will last years though).

The only permanent solution would be to change the mechanism and devide the force over the left and right side of the seat.

Ciao, Olaf

P.S. Robert: because we changed the subject in this thread from talking pictures to keys and seat adjusters, could you change the title of this thread and add keys and seat adjusters so that people can find the subjects that were discussed by us? Thanks!!
