PSB, I know what you mean! I had a Grey market 2.3 16v from Germany for about 5 years. It was 10 years old with only 20K on it!!! I had followed it through its two owners before I finally decided to buy it! I remembered when the original owner had just taken delivery of it! When I saw it i said to myself that that car would some day be mine. 10 years later I was driving it home!!! What a great car!!! One of my biggest regrets is letting that car go about 8 years ago! But... was heavily into Kart racing and priorities were changing.
Mine was the same color as yours but the grey market cars did not have the brake light in the wing. I also had a set of TSW Hockenheim wheels on it and lowered just a bit more then stock (it was pretty low already) What a joy to drive it was! And a great exhaust note as well!!!
But... I know that as soon as I finish my GTV... I'll be feeling okay again.
