well places where circuits could be built were turned into industrial estates or football (soccer) pitches.
at least we have a drag strip here.. even that they tried to take over. we went once on a sunday and found a factory being built in the middle of it. so what we did was take it down brick by brick (i mean quite literally about 200 men pushing bricks off the walls).
but we make the best of what we have..
