Patrick -- Hope this is the right way to send additions to your register. A couple of additional bits on the 1956 Spider 1495.00253: the engine is 1315.40223 and the car is under restoration, white with red. As Genericwood mentioned in one of his posts, the early cars have some distinct features. #253 has brass windshield posts, hinges and trunk emblem mount. The seat mounts are narrower, the rear wheel well has a seam and the front drive shaft on mine is 1/2" longer than the later cars. My 1958 Giulietta Spider is the ex-Frank Payton Land-O-Lakes SCCA G-Production car, AR 1495.04020 with engine 1315.43642. It is under restoration, black with black. It raced from 1962 - 1968 and has a number of period competition features. The 1963 Giulia Spider I have is 376388. I don't have the engine number here and the car is in storage. It's an original car with a 1600 and a 5-speed and it is red with black. It was bought at the factory in Milan by Joe Brown of Cleveland. Nicknamed "Brownie," he was a well-known racing photographer in the midwest, who took pictures at Put-in-Bay, the Akron Airport sports car races, Watkins Glen and other events. The Alfa was his second sports car; his first was a black MG-TC. -- Carl Goodwin
