Yes, I searched for a spare set to do the air rail conversion and I was thinking to remove it after the smog test. The one I found was cracked so I had it welded. Looks were not too important, since I would swap out once I passed.

I was not aware there were different bottles for Alfettas. My GTV has a horizontal strap in a grove on the bottle, but the Alfetta has a tab on the top and bottom. The top slides into a grove, and the bottom is screwed down to the fender well (or the other way arround).

And where's the A/C pump? Personally I'd much rather have an A/C pump rather than a plain old air pump.

Are you suggesting the A/C pump be used as an air injection pump? I got a power steering pump with the engine, but not an A/C pump.
