With no signs of milkshake in the coolant, leaks, or this not being a relatively new rebuild that needed to be re-torqued, the overheating seems rather odd. Good luck.

It is still cool when driving though which makes me think it is getting to the radiator. I could check the temp switch, but for what? The fans come on at 80 as usual.
