Ken, the problem is that with some groups, you may not be able to run at all. That was the issue with the original post regarding CVAR. They are suggesting that if a 2L engine never came in a 2-headlight car, you aren't welcome to race at all. It's hard to find someone to dice with if you can't get on the track!
When you live in St. Louis (like me), your vintage race options are very limited. It would be nice to be able to run CVAR, VSCDA and SVRA. Even then, my nearest tracks are over 5-6 hours towing.
