On a few road/race cars, I have put the oil cooler behind the radiator. The theory is because the water heats up quicker than the oil, the air going through the rad heats the oil up quicker. Then as the maximum temp. of the oil is higher than the water, it still has a cooling effect on the oil.
Awsome car by the way. Inspires me even more to make my own one day,
