Well Dennis's link to the article from 'Teknikens Varld', issue 3, 1956, caused me a good deal of excitement, as 'my car', #555, was supposedly road-tested by that magazine when new.

So the registration number of the car in the test from 3/56 - A40665 - was repeating itself in my mind until I returned home tonight and was able to check the sheaf of old Swedish ownership records that came with the car...

Which told me; the first registration of the car was on 25th April 1956, with the number W40166, to a Mary Simm, of Borlange.

Hmmm.

Can anyone with access to old copies of Teknikens Varld tell me if there was an earlier test of the Giulietta Sprint than the one in issue 3/56?

My car was sold to Bonnier's garage in July '55, but not registered until April '56. Was this usual? Or might the car perhaps have been a 'demonstrator' for press and potential customers?

Best,
William
