My Duetto's front end seems way too low, and the springs are certainly so stiff that the rear seems to pivot about the front. The car sits on 185/65/14" tyres.

My main concern though is sump clearance. As you can see I can't squeeze my flat hand under the sump. It's less than 3" off the road, with the sump-to-block join almost exactly 4" off the tarmac.

What clearance do other Spider owners have ? What is factory standard for a Duetto ?

Also, I'd appreciate an idea of the clearance between a sump and sump-guard. I can manufacture a sump-guard myself but I need to know basic dimensions.
