Listen guy's, this is a GTV with fender flairs, that is it. I can see our friend is preparing this car for some racing, which is fantastic!Great idea but not a GTAm for the last time.

There are a host of Autodelta parts, suspension, (incl. totally different narrow angle head motor) that was fitted for real GTAm's. There was really only 12 cars sold from AR to AD for entry into the ETCC as AR factory cars. Truth is they were not really even sold to AD, as AD did not pay for the cars, AR basically provided the cars for modifications as factory race entries, but for official paperwork and records these serial numbers will show as sold to AD. These 12 cars will all have race history in the ETCC. (I just returned from Arese Archivo Storico and went over this topic with them). Now, private teams did purchase GTV's from AR and opted for the "full" GTAm options package, per the
OPC, Jim mentioned. AR, sent the cars to AD for modifications to be carried out. Cars were then delivered to customers. (Private team cars will also have race history and documetation, fyi). AD records show that a total of 40 cars received the "full" GTAm package, 12 of which were factory cars, rest were private team entries. I also believe the 40 number is generous, especially if you understand how AD operated back then. Other teams with regualr GTV's for Goup 1 and 2 did order parts from the OPC and had them fitted a la carte for racing(mainly suspenison components, exhaust, cams, seats, steering wheels, etc).. These cars were not considered GTAm's but were modified with true AD parts.

So, this thread looks like a fun project and it is great to see, but please realize this is by no means a "GTAm", but in the spirit of it all this is nice to see someone wanting to "visually" create and live his racing dream.

Moderator needs to move this thread to the GTV thread and off the GTA, GTAm, thread in my opinion. I look forward to following his progress with his project
