Hi Keith

I only saw the pictures on Ebay - I live in South Africa, I'm not even on the same continent as you.

The boot lid lock looks like the unit from an MGB GT ??

A detailed inspection of the inside of the bootlid should prove the provinence of the bodywork - if there is any filler / lead & evidence of seams / welding to the inside, this should show that there was work done to the car. Remember, these cars are for the best part 50 years old by now & lots has happened in the hands of unsympathetic owners.

Body repairs & modiciations are not too difficult, after all there are at least 170% of all original SZ's / TZ's and 250GTO SWB cars left, despite the attrition that results from racing.

As per GTD, post the chassis / engine numbers & some shots from the inside of the boot area / engine bay, etc - if the car has had a colour change / respray that should be another clue as to someone spending some time on the body. If the engine bay is black, that should be a huge clue - except if you have an SZ of course (even one of the 170% ones)

Doesn't change the fact that a Giulietta , any Giulietta is a great car.

Ciao
