That's the Lee Midgley GTA! The first time I photographed that car, it was in Road America approx. 10 + years ago. It's by far my favorite Alfa of all time, I get chills standing next to it. I go to these Vintage Festivals and you see al these beautiful restored cars, problem is, they look new, they have little connection to the era that they came from. The Lee Midley car still stinks from all the close calls the drivers have had. The soul of that car is still intact. Roman, the owner explained; "I have been rejected from some vintage races because the car doesn't look nice-enough".
I was given a video of that car terrorizing big block American musclecars with 4 times the horsepower. It has since been transfered to DVD, I wish I knew how to put it on you-tube. The video is taken from an inboard camera with Roman driving, great footage of it battling with at the time (Mike Besic @ Road America) now owned and raced by Erik Wood.
By far, my favorite GTA ever!
