You also need a DVD cam corder that has an A/V in slot which isn't that easy to find but I found a Hitachi cam corder that had one at Refurb Depot.

Thanks, I wish the sound came out better I down loaded a free DVD ripper that allows a free trail ripping (converting the file format to AVI) and I must have done a half dozen downloads with it. It's time to buy it now I guess.
