RICHARD! You are flat-out WRONG man! If you cut the ground wire to the battery while the motor is running, IT'LL JUST KEEP ON RUNNING!!!! This is the very condition that you seek to avoid with an effective kill-switch setup! If you simply wire the battery ground through the kill-switch (as you suggested above), the motor will simply keep running until the alternator burns up (which will be some time after the fuel in that spill from the wreck burns up - with your arse in the car...!!!)

Will somebody please explain to this man that you can take the whole ****ing battery out of the car and the damn thing will still keep on running unless you kill power to the ECU and the coil-packs!!!

Here's one for ya Richard - dead battery - you can still bump-start the engine! Anybody here; go outside, start your car, remove the battery ground as the guru Richard suggested and report back as to whether that killed the motor!
