Very Hot On The Driver's Floor
The 2 L headers come close to the aluminium casting that holds the clutch and brake peddles. Also, the collector throws a lot of heat as well. Even though they had been COATED.
Even on the cooler days this made the driver's floor rather hot.
There had been some shielding on the casting, but it was long gone and Andy fabbed a replacement as well as some shielding placed above the collector.
Then on Sunday morning I attended to the inside. There was v. little by way of floor insulation put in when the car was built, so I installed a layer of shiny reflective stuff followed by some closed-cell insulating matt(5mil thick).
This is much better

, but will require a little more work at the peddle housing. With the black rubber floor matts back in--nothing shows.
