Personally I owned an Alfetta GTV 2000 ´78 and an Alfetta 2,0L ´80 so I have some data and memories about that ownership.
The 2L engine in the Alfetta and Alfetta GTV first only had the same power as the 1.8 but it had much better torque, so it was better to drive. When the new GTV2.0 came and also the Alfetta 2.0L it had better cams and 10 Hp more power. There were used three types of carburettors, usually Dell Orto but also Solex and Weber. Rumors had it that the Webers gave most power, Solex beeing the weakest. So when I bought the Alfetta 2.0L I had the dealer to change the Solexes to Dell Orto.
The given specs for the 2L first series was 120 Hp DIN at 5300 rpm.
The Specs for the second series with better camshafts was 130 DIN Hp at 5400 rpm.
I still have a set of almost non used second series camshafts since the Alfetta was turbocharged and the cams were changed to the first series. Which worked much better with turbo. So there was a significant difference between the two cam types!
