gentlemen....im beginning to polish up all the little bits and pieces and boxing them away until they are ready to be re-united with the car...i have sent off the dash to be restored...seats to be re-upholstered, and the original steering wheel wood to be restored....

I have a problem with the rear light assembly housing, which I thought was steel but discovered that its chrome plated on plastic...gee I hate that!!...its all flaking off and in an effort to save these, I was wondering...can these be re-chrome plated?or if there is another process to strip this off and plate it again....??

The other problem I have is that the passenger hand grip/light assembly...i want to get these re-plated as well but cant for the life of me figure out a non destructive way to remove the handle/spring assembly from the main body?? Does anyone know of a non destructive way to do this...??

If my descriptions of these items don't make sense, I have attached a picture of what I am talking about...
