Re: Passengers & Turn 8
brad,
i have given TONS of people rides that don't have time trial licenses and i know other people who have done the same. my understanding was that as long as the driver has a time trial license, he/she can take a passenger. i hope this is the way it is cuz it'd really suck to see something happen that is against rules and the club be liable for it. it'd be good to get a definate confirmation before laguna seca and buttonwillow cuz i see lots of people giving rides there. it'd be to the benfit of everyone.

Hey Jeff,
Glad you had fun at Willow. Yes, you ARE leaving a few seconds on the table in turn 8, because unless your car is capable of times under 1:20 per lap, turn 8 is flat on the floor, all the way from hte entrance of 6. I have never driven a car at Willow that wouldn't go thru 8 flat, and that includes Joel Quaid's Ferrari 360 Challenge, which was right at 150 mph thru 8. My best time in that car was 1:29. Joel has done 1:26 before.
Do you have a time trial license? If you do, than you can ride with Anthony. If you don't, then ride with an instructor. Club policy is that BOTH driver and passenger have to be licensed. We do have lots of good instructors, though.
Congrats on winning your class.
Brad
