Our 68 Series 1 1750 (1352698) has been in the restoration process since Jan. 2000. The original plan was to restore the car to original except for a color change to AR013 Biancospino (white) from it's current AR501 red. Over the years though, I came to realize that the need to preserve this particular car to history and to future generations as 100% original outweights my personal tastes. So the car will painted in it's original AR109 Giallo Ochre, a color that I am not exactly over the moon about.
These cars are not on the endangered species list so if/when we purchase a second S1 GTV, it will be painted AR736 English Anthracite with correct amaranth interior, a hot 2l engine and a bunch of suspension and other mods that would have some purists issuing death threats. Why? Because it's my car and I want to. Besides, some future owner could always put it 'right' just like I'm doing now to 1352698.
FMD159,
I use a spreadsheet quite similar to yours except that I have only one suppliers column and enter the name of the single supplier for that particular part. I've found that many parts are acquired from many sources other than the usual Alfa vendors.
