Phil he's not destroying the car by changing the colour and throwing in a 2ltr donk, he's still restoring it....
better to have another rust free drivable Alfa back on the road than to have an original one gathering dust and rusting away in a back yard never to be seen again.
I am also fitting a 2ltr into my 1750 as I'm chasing a few additional ponies for a bit of track time....
The Alfa community is made up of a heap of different enthusiasts.... some are sticklers for originality, others love the lines and driveability of the cars but like to make a few subtle mods to suit their tastes...
