To expand on this a bit, the S1, depending on date of manufacture, was fitted with three different rear lenses. Up to early 1969, a Carello lens with a long skinny reflector was fitted (the black & white pic here).
In early 1969, the Carello lens was changed to a square reflector (pic here) type. The third lens, also arriving in early 1969, was an Altissimo with a long skinny reflector like the early Carello lens (will take a pic of an Altissimo if need be). As juultje said, the S1 & S2 both have the small taillights; only the 1971 US version got the large, 2000 type taillights.
All 1750s have the trunk seal on the body, not the trunklid.
I researched and posted years ago the recessed badge thing but I think the post was lost in the Great Crash as I've looked for two days and can't find it. I vaguely recall that the recess started with the S2 (our 71 US version is recessed) but either style is correct for the S2 and 2l.
