Thanks, but....sorry, it will have to be virtual for the next few years, how many, I'm not sure; depends on whether I can outlast the dean or she outlasts me. The previous dean was much more accommodating about the CI and LS weekend being the same as "rah, rah" convocation Friday at which attendance is mandated unless of course I'm hospitalized, die, etc. by her definition.
She's trying to make her mark and has caused nothing but trouble with many of us going to the union about things that she's tried to mandate and can't, among them dress code when there is none on campus. She thinks "everyone" is a reflection of her and we should dress to that standard while others on campus where shorts, tank tops, and sandals. Not advocating that but a "happy" medium somewhere between that and having a personal "Nordie" shopper.
Not the happiest place on earth right now....a place to be endured.
