I was there, but only for 2 sessions. I had a nice run with a VW GTI 2.0T FSI with some loud exhaust system.
It didn't quite have the poke I thought it would have. Possibly stock with an exhaust. I'm pretty sure if it wasn't chipped or it would have put bus lengths on my car.
I wanted to see how much go the GTI had. So after each turn where there was a straight away and passing was allowed, I found that I was able put my car's nose on the side his rear quarter panel before I let off. I did this a few times before setting up for a pass.
Then after much waiting, at the bottom of the carousel I got on the power a wee bit earlier than him and went to his front door. I wasn't much quicker, but just had enough go to be on the inside of him before turn 7 (the hairpin).
Not a bad event, but I prefer AROSC events.
Louis was there too. His car is quick!
No pics as I didn't bring my camera. Lots of Japo cars. In fact in our group, we had tons of STIs and EVOs. But some of them were just putting around.....
