STANDING STARTS: Little to gain, much to lose. When I watch a F1 race, I always think how dumb it is to lose several competitors before the first turn. I am sure it appeals to the same people who watch racing just to see the wrecks.

INVERTED STARTS: I am not particularly in favor, but it should not present too much of a hazard in the Alfa Cup. HOWEVER, my experience in an open race at WS with inverted start convinced me that I don't want to do that again. There is too much of a disparity of performance, and too many fast cars trying to get to 1st place before turn 2.
