Well, the two wires attached to the rearmost mounting point on the head on the intake side _are_ actually attached. I am not familiar with the wiring of the Spider, and would appreciate a count for the wires to be attached. I will look for the crank sensor wire. I don't look forward to pulling the plenum off again, and hope I don't have to do this.

[Addition: the crank sensor wire seems to have been the trick. Son#2 had not fully engaged the spade connector. When encouraged to go and verify his work, he found it independently, leading to much rejoicing and celebration. It seems still to run rough, though. Maybe needs a jaunt on the road with some MMO in the crankcase and enthusiasm on the gas pedal?]
