GTV6SA: Cantīt agree there at all. Fiat had no influence on Autodelta policy at the time of the GTV8. The reason the GTV8 was not raced is that they did not build the 400 pcs necessary for homologation. The reason for this was that production of the Montreal engine was ended at the time they would start building the GTV8.

The GTV8 engine was not at Tipo 33 engine, but a 3L Montreal engine modified from boat racing. This engine had flat crank, injection and about 340Hp at around 8500 rpm. This rpm is still OK for the transaxle
