Last word from Dayton
I talked to them today....they are unable to come up with a supplier for a 6" alum rim to meet their price/profit points and are not going to invest in any manuf capacity to make them themselves; They just don't think there is much of a demand for a 6 x 16 wire wheel; (I think most vintage Ferraris and such use a 15" and that's were they see the market)
this means no option from Dayton other than steel spokes/steel rims; I asked them about the weight of a 6 x 16 in that configuration; they estimate 30 lbs a wheel.
so we're back to the options of
Dayton's heavier wheel, $ 2,600 a set
Borrani's $ 7,400 a set
well, I tried...
anyone have any suggestions?
