Here's some information Lenard:
1988 Renault Medallion (21)
Repaint - Metallic blue.
Interior is in very nice shape, no tears or rips, probably kept inside for much of its life. The ride and seats are VERY comfortable...sofa like. There is a new Clarion CD player and new Dupont front speakers. Sound quality is very acceptable.
The car was bought by my father, a Renault and Alfa Romeo enthusiast, with a bad clutch and numerous other problems. Due to the rarity of the car, he had the clutch replaced with a new unit and many of the problems fixed, and therefore, made the car into a reliable daily driver.
2.2 L (2165 cc) 8-valve I4; 110 bhp. The car gets 30 mpg in combined city and highway driving, yet seats 5 comfortably! The car has about 155K miles, does not smoke, burn oil, lose coolant, or show any signs of a weak engine. All ignition related parts were replaced including the plugs, distributor, spark plug wires, and even the oxygen sensor. Some of the other sensors could be looked at, as the engine is a little finicky in the cold.
Although the clutch is brand new, the car can pop out of first if not operated carefully.
We have 12 cars at the moment, and with another one on the way, we physically do not have space for them all. We're asking just $950 for a very efficient, reliable and collectible car that needs another caring home.
