Yes, the rectangular hazard light is wired to the parking light circuit and it's brightness is adjusted via the dimmer switch. It would appear that it's sole purpose, as are the "DEF" and "WIPE" lights for their respective switches, is to indicate the approximate location of the round hazard light push button switch, which has it's own light that flashes when the hazards are on, should the operator wish to turn on the hazard lights at night.
