I have had another discussion with Dayton; they have been working on an alloy rim wheel in 6" to be mated to their steel wire/steel hub units; the issue is getting a source for the 6" rim that is most conducive to modern tires; they hope to have an answer in a few weeks; currently they offer a 5" alloy rim/steel combo for Ferraris but they haven't nailed down a supplier arrangement for a 6" wide rim;

Dayton makes the hubs and wires but rims are sourced out of house.
(the hub issue is taken care of by their existing K/O adapter which converts bolt hubs to spline)

I am probably making an unwise leap in judgment here, but I assume that if we can come up with a list of names and emails of interested buyers it might provide that extra bit of motivation for them to put this combo together especially since they did not insist on a certain minimum initial order.
