I like your analogies. However, when you're in an Alfa event and it's hot, you need water. You don't have time to stop 40 cars just so you can have your cake(water) and eat(drink) it too. No, it's more logical to have cup holders. What kind of drinking do YOU do?
If we are too shortsighted to understand the economics of Alfa surviving in the U.S, then it just won't. Companies need to adjust accordingly per country.
I really like Alfa FWD. I think the 164 was one of the best FWD handling cars of its time. If I really want RWD action, I hop in the spider/gtv/gtv6.
PS- DD's aren't what they're cut out to be...
