Maybe he was experienced, but probably not any good. M3s are very benign to drive. I drove on on a very difficult track (Mt Tremblant) with traction control on and off and never even came close to loosing controll. In fact, in test when we had to deliberately brake the tail loose or try to unsettle it in a corner by hard braking, it was almost impossible. That M rear diff is magic.
If your friend thinks 340hp is too much power, he should definetly stick with 4 cylinder FWD cars.
