Little more snail-paced progress.
I finally tacked the new cross member in while the S2000
motor was in. I decided to use three crome-moly tubes.
The rear ones are 1-1/4" X 0.065" and the front one is 1" X 0.120".
This was necessary to get at least 1/2 inch clearance between
the tubes and the S2000 oil pan, and tranny bell housing.
Since I could not add a tube to the front most portion of the
original cross member, I added a couple of 1" gussets.
Next on the list is to add some bracing to the tranny tunnel,
to avoid any resonant vibrations of the cavity, then tack it in.
