Why the S2000? Top reason is it generates the most HP/Liter
for a normally aspirated engine, along with high reliability, race
proven, etc etc. Also I get 6 gears to play with.
As far as the high reving, most Alfa's need to be reved way up
for the power as well, they just wont stay together at 9K
unless you build a race engine for a lot more that I paid for
my S2000 motor (I looked into this as well)

I also considered a twin spark, but the prices for the motors are
silly here in the states, and the availability of parts here in the
US is not good. I was quoted anywhere from $8-20K for a rebuilt
motor (no tranny, and not even new!!). I paid about $5K for a
2005 S2000 with wire harness, computer, header, tranny, front
suspension, & brakes. Just cant beat that price...

I do admit to ignorance of Nissan/Nismo products. I know the
Skyline is bad-***, but only in Japan, I also really like the Z
and the G35 coupe, but they are V6.

I love 510's, always wanted one of them when I was in college. I had
a buddy that put a 260Z motor and tranny into his 510, along with a
great suspension kit, it haulled ***!!
