Isn't racing with a wooden steering wheel dangerous? ... I thought it was illegal for this reason.
Not sure about Alfa Romeo steering wheels?, but if the rim is only wood when you crash the wood breaks and then you just have the alloy spokes to spear you ...
Hence why no new car now makes wheels like that ... just part wood.
