I suspect Franco-veloce would be able make that heat shield for you.

It looks like the engine in your photo has stainless steel or chrome plated tubular headers that are wrapped as well. Were those ever stock on a 1900?

Hi all,
the original exhaust protection is made of alloy and polished, not black. I had two, today only one, but both polished.

Hi All,

In my 2 1900CSS '56 and '58 one was original black satin gloss and the other black wrinkle painted ( same as cilinderhead )

So far I know there are no polished alu parts in the engine compartment .

What do we learn from Franco´s answer? Everything is possible.....Possibly depending on the year of construction. Mine is from the year 1954.

Hi,
Hans-Jurgen probably is correct, hard to say what is original to this car.
Mine is also a tipo 3, 1955, mine is in black wrinkle paint.

And to correct franco, the tipo 3 does have plenty of alu polished panels in the engine compartment, 6 in mine.
Regards, Mike

Correction:

in the LAST seri 56-58 1900CSS my cars .

there are no polished alu parts in the engine compartment .

All aluparts are painted original satin black

In the pre 56 cars I do not know..........
