The prices for good cars seem to be moving up. More pictures here.

It looks very nice and correct (except for the carpets and a couple other minor things), but almsot $95,000 US?
I certainly wish it sells at that price , but I doubt it.

I agree with Ruedi, prices are rising in Europe I just finished reading the new issue of Classic and Sport Cars and on the auction results 2 2600 spides sold at Bohnhams and Coy's One of the cars was described as "average" and sold for 31,280 Pounds(appx 62.000) the other listed as in fair and original condition sold for 27,370 Pounds(54,200) .I hope this will lead to more cars being salvaged as their values rise.

look --> http://www.alfa-classic.de/

The German 2600 Club is very active and has some wonderful cars. So as part of your purchase price you gain admission into a great club, not stigmatized by the model like the U.S. Market seems to be.

Bernhard makes a valid point and, having had fun at Christie's and RM last week in Monterey, I agree that the top examples of any desirable (And somewhat desirable) car brings top money - and increases dramatically right now in value - Anything with slightly less does not as much, anything with needs is tough.
Also, it begins to feel a bit scary as I also witnessed dealer-to-dealer speculation in Monterey this weekend in market segments outside American Muscle. It remains to be seen if the liquidity in the market (Mainly equity and cash) keeps it up or the current dept crisis will impact classic cars ...

I'll digress for a moment: yes, dealers are starting to scramble a bit- but then again, they are always looking for market timing and to jump on whatever is "hot".
The problem is that the typical muscle car buyer was a small to medium sized construction contractor who did very well in the recent real estate boom and spent money towards his tastes. The European car customer is a very different animal and it will be interesting to see who can reinvent themselves to cater to them.

By the way, look at the amazing facility on Bernhards link!
