2000 Bleeding Brakes

Thanks to Lee, Ruedi and Erik for your help. My brake light switch was in fact a 2 pole switch with an 1/8" NPT connection. However I was too slow and clumsy in replacing the old switch with the new, and enough brake fluid escaped to cause the brake peddle to bottom once the new switch was installed. My guess is I will need to bench bleed the master cylinder as well as bleed brakes. I have not done this yet on a two liter. Just wanted to check with you all.

Does this approach make sense ?

Any experience with bench bleeding a master cylinder or bleeding brakes ?

Thanks again for all your help.

Mark

If the brake fluid is older than 3 years, you may want to use this as an opportunity to replace the brake and clutch fluids completely.

You should be able to bleed the whole system with the master cylinder in place. This page describes the generic process.
