Steering box and relay are now as new.

CHS kit is just perfect.

What part number CHS kit did you use? What is the casting number on your steering box? Did the kit come with a new pin for the sector gear?

Hello Don,

This is the configuration of the kit :

kit K2000-SL :

- 1 (one) Gear worm & shaft (shaft installed into the gear worm ).
- 1 (one) Roller-kit ( 1 roller, 1 pin for riveting, 2 oversize washers & the full complement of needle rollers)
- 1 (one) Lower bearing set ( 1 cup and 1 cage with tapered rollers )
- 1 (one) Upper bearing set ( 1 cup and 1 cage with tapered rollers )
- 3 (three) Oil seals
- 1 (one) Set of shims ( for adjusting the gear worm )
- 1 (one) Gasket ( for sector shaft cover )
- 2 (two) Housing bushings



I will check tonight the casting N°.

Unless you revised all of the internals of the gear box to be the later style, the "EP" oil would be incorrect for an original-configuration 102 gearbox.

In order to finalize the gear box I would like to reinstall the system that prevent to engage the reverse :

Reverse pin

Serge - just had time today to look

Pin is 26.5mm long , 7.5mm -7.6mm diameter , tapped hole 17.5 mm from one end as photos

Note the one I have on my selector is bent , your one may have broken in half and exited through the gearbox, so needs to be made from high spec steel
